1896 House Review Williamstown MA

For a late Valentine's Gift Day, my Sister stayed over and watched the kids, so my Husband Ben and I could get away for the night.

We wanted to stay somewhere alittle ways away, but close enough, in case there was a problem.

After doing some research online, I found the 1896 House in Williamstown, MA. This town is in the Berkshires, where my Husband and I had never gone. It is about an hour and a half from our house.

Looking at the pictures on line, I was hooked. The price was reasonable for a Bed and Breakfast too. We paid $109 after tax for the night, with a full breakfast buffet the next day.

The hotel has three separate buildings for the suites, and a converted barn for the restaurant called The '6 House Pub.

This is a picture of the Pondside House. We booked a room here, but were given a free upgrade. The rooms in this building are Queen Size Bed Sweat Heart rooms.

We were upgraded to a King Size Bed Suite, with a Four Poster Bed in the main building.
This is the front where the office is. We didn't arrive at the hotel till after dark, so it was kind of hard to find the front office. I wish they had a bigger sign to let us know where to go.
We were greeted by two very friendly doggies, and a very nice lady at the desk.

This was our gorgeous room. I loved the wood paneling and huge bed!!!!
We had an electric fireplace, that we kept on all night for ambiance. Very romantic!!!
Our Bathroom was great too!! It was a really pretty shade of green.
We also had a Jacuzzi tub for two!!!

After a good night sleep, with no 11 month old waking us up two-three times, we went to breakfast at their restaurant.
Because there were only My Husband and I and one other couple staying at the hotel, we had a great private breakfast too!!!! The other couple didn't come down.
The Breakfast consisted of the usual pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea. But it also had eggs, bacon and make your own waffles!!!

Of course Ben and I tried everything!!! The food was excellent.

We also got to have a great conversation with Fawn, the lady who took care of us during breakfast. She was very nice. We talked about her grand kids, and her son.

Ben and I had a great time away for the night. The 1896 House was a nice place and if you are ever in the Berkshires, head over to Williamstown, MA and check it out.
