Day Two In NYC For #TheAvengersEvent (Part 1)

So far today has been like any other day.  I woke up at my normal time, and had a terrific breakfast in bed!!  Ok, not like every other day, but I can dream can't I!!!

I am about to hop in the shower.  I need the next couple hours to tame my fro!!!

We are interviewing Cobie Smulders and Tom Hiddleston today.  I am extremely nervous!!!  For the last couple days, I have been trying to come up with good questions to ask the stars.

Do you have any questions about Loki and Maria Hill that you would like answered??

Day One In NYC For #TheAvengersEvent

Yesterday was tough to start.  Even with all the excitement of coming to the city to hob knob with the celebrities, I was a little nervous going off on my own!  It is very rare that I go anywhere with out my children, and even more rare that I go anywhere with out my Hubby!!

I got to drop Ben Jr off at school, and I tried not to cry!!

Then I went back home quickly to say bye to Ben and Doug.

I was off!!  It normally takes about two hours to get to Stamford CT to pick up the train.  Yesterday it was a lot longer (horrible traffic!!!)  Oh and the express train (yes express) was 45 minutes late!!  I was supposed to meet up with a couple other bloggers at 1pm yesterday, but I didn't make it to the hotel until 3pm!!

My day got a lot better when I saw my hotel room!!  We are staying at the Eventi Hotel!!

After I checked in, and rested for a little bit, I went to explore the area.  We are very close to 5th avenue (6th avenue!!) so I did a little window shopping.  NYC is prepared for The Avengers!!!  Everywhere I turned there was something displayed to promote the movie!!

I of course had to join in on the fun, so I got Ben Jr and Doug each a really cute Avengers T-shirt!!

After shopping, we all met in the lobby, wearing our Fan Girl T-Shirts!!

Then it was off to Jack Demseys for dinner!!  Yummy!!  I ordered the Chicken Potpie, and it was very good!!  I also got to sit at a table with some awesome friends.  Heather from Our Kids Mom, Darcy from Tales From The Nursery, and our terrific host Marshall!!

After dinner, we had picture time!!!  The first picture is courtesy of Marshall!!

Of course we had to get a shot of the ShePromotes girls (Thanks Darcy!!!)

I don't know why my face is sooooo red.  I didn't have any alcohol, I swear!!

After dinner, some of us old timers, went to bed while some of them young-ins went to the Empire State Building!!

Over all it was a terrific day!!!

What Do You Think Of My Red Carpet Dress? #TheAvengersEvent

Can I tell you a true fact about myself?? I HATE having my picture taken!!! In case you haven't noticed on here, it is extremely rare that I ever post a picture of myself. I love to take photos, but I do not want to be in them.

If you look through all of my past vacations with my family, I am always the one taking the photo!!  I think I get it from my Father.  He never ever had his picture taken when we were kids.  On the rare occasion that you did get to snap a shot, his face was always covered!!!

Who would do that??

So besides that fact that I need to loose about 1000 lbs, what do you think of the dress?

I always feel better in black formal wear.  It is supposed to be slimming!!!  I also love long dresses.  I hate, hate, hate my legs!!!  Yes, I know I complain A LOT!!!

We were told that we didn't have to dress extremely formal, but this is a red carpet event!!  How many times in your life can you walk the red carpet with boat loads of celebrities??  I also do not get to dress up much.  I work from home in flannel pants and t-shirts!!!

Now my biggest problem right now is shoes.  I am not a normal women with 300+ pairs of shoes.  I have always had four pairs.  Sneakers, Flip Flops, Simple Black Dress Shoes, and Slippers!!!  My Husband owns more shoes then me!!!

Originally I thought that we would interview the celebrities (Tom Hiddleston and Cobie Smulders) and have a break to change into our formal wear.  A couple days ago, we found out that we will be wearing our formal wear to the interviews, because the premiere is right after.  So that changes things a little as far as shoes go.  I want to wear something cute, but also comfortable since I will be in them longer then I thought I would be!!

Here are my three choices for shoes.  Which ones do you think will be the best for the event.  Note pair #1 will probably hurt my feet after awhile.  Pair #2 will hurt in between my toes at some point.  Pair #3 will be the most comfortable, but are they red carpet material??

Pair #1-

Pair #2-

Pair #3-

Which pair should I wear??  Please help!!
